My doodles for when I'm bored

Long time no see, eh? I've recently found this cool new doodling app called Doodoo Lite, which is for kids, but they have such great brushes. So I make some doodles with it when I'm bored. Here:

And I wrote a song parody of the Cup Song to go with it:

I got my ticket for some yum in a cup;
Two serves of chocolate for the way;
‘Cause I sure would like some sweet company;
And the sweet sure is colorin’ up the gray.
Don’t be gone,
Don’t be gone,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone.
I’m gonna miss you by the cream;
Gonna hold you tight in my dream, oh,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone.
Don’t be gone,
Don’t be gone,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone.
I’m gonna miss you by the sweet,
‘Cause you’re more than just a treat, oh,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone.
I got my ticket for some yum in a cup;
The one with the prettiest of tastes;
It’s got cinnamon and sugar, it unwinds me from my hastes, oh;
I’m gonna miss it if it’s gone.
Don’t be gone,
Don’t be gone,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone,
I’m gonna miss you by the cream,
Gonna hold you in my dream, oh,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone.
Don’t be gone,
Don’t be gone,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone.
I’m gonna miss you by the sweet,
‘Cause you’re more than just a treat, oh,
I’m gonna miss you if you’re gone.

The Artist of My Eye: Amy Hamilton

Ahoy there! Today's featured artist is Amy Hamilton, a Canadian graphic design student at St. Lawrence College in Ontario. She graduates this month. Above is an infographic about whales, made by Hamilton.

And a fawn watercolor painting:

Do you see it? There's something so mystical and magical about Hamilton's work. It looks real in a weird kind of way, and yet it doesn't seem real. I think I would call this surreal.

You can access her portfolio site here.

P.S. I haven't been active on this blog for very long! Sorry!

I have an announcement to make

So yeah, I am redesigning the whole kingdom of Luna and art, and that's what's up with all the crazy changing looks recently. I am also trying out new templates.

Please:

Thanks in advance.

World Wide Web has come a long way ever since Sir Tim Berners-Lee invented it. Twenty-five years is a long time. Happy birthday, World Wide Web!

The Artist of My Eye: Sarah Goodreau

Sarah Goodreau is a freelance illustrator originally from Massachusetts, but now she is living in the Netherlands, in Amsterdam.

As you can see, Sarah Goodreau uses shading and perspective in her art, but her illustrations remain very flat and 2-dimensional. That's what I love about her art, because since it seems very quiet and calm but you suspect something is up, so her art is a little mysterious. I think she could be a great illustrator for children's picture books.

You can find her blog/portfolio here

I am happily tumbling in typography!!!

There isn't much text in art, if any. Often this text is the artist's signature and date.

OR NOT...

Those writing utensils are so awesome. But anyways, you can all see that art can be conjured with words. This is called typography. I can't tell you how much I can't get out of typography. I love hand lettering and fonts.

What the heck are those sunglasses!?
